A-Western Driving School offers 2 hour behind-the-wheel driving instruction sessions for new adult as well as brush up courses for the licensed driver who would like to improve their skills.

How To Get Your Adult Permit

If you are 18 years of age or older, pass the required tests, and meet the application requirements, you may be issued an adult instruction permit in order for you to learn how to drive within the state of California. While learning to drive as an adult in California you must have a valid permit and be accompanied by a driver that is 18 years of age or older who has been issued a valid California drivers license. Please note that an instruction permit all by itself does not give you permission to drive alone.

How To Get Your Adult Driver License

If you have never been licensed as a driver within California and are 18 years of age or older you must:

• Comply with the requirements for a driving permit.
• Make an appointment to take the behind-the-wheel driving test.
  (When you report for testing you must bring your instructional permit with you)
• Pass the behind-the-wheel driving test.
